£157,341 compensation for worker suffering pains in hands, wrists, arms and shoulders
In March 2006 a legal secretary was awarded £157,341 in the Court of Appeal for an upper limb disorder as a result of work duties. The legal secretary had been working for 19 years but had to leave due to the pain as a result of her injury. The defendant was found to be in breach of the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, and that the injury had been caused by those breaches of statutory duty.
