Tendonitis
£11,151.66 injury compensation for tendonitis sufferer
In April 2001 a successful claim was argued at Plymouth County Court on behalf of a Horticultural Assistant claiming that her work had brought about tendonitis. As part of her job the Horticultural Assistant had to clean out plant pots for Lomax Sayers Ltd in preparation for marketing which consisted of her having to rotate both wrists in a circular motion up to 1,000 times per day between the period of 1990-1996.
The judge quoted that “…the Claimant has proved to the necessary standard that she sustained tendonitis as a result of her work but not epicondylitis or any other injury.” and as such she was awarded an injury compensation payout of £11,151.66 due to her having to give up her job because of the sustained repetitive strain injury.
